If you read my recent review of the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection you'll know I am head over heels with anything that is going to give me a glow. I have been in love with Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess and Guerlain Terracotta bronzers for YEARS. Today I am reviewing the first ever cream bronzer from Charlotte Tilbury. As part of Charlotte Tilbury's Beautiful Skin range, she has launched her Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow Bronzer, perfect for summer and an entirely different bronzer to any I have used before.

The last bronzer I reviewed was the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer and it quickly became a fan favourite; huge, golden, deep and perfect for summer. So how does this brand new Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow Bronzer, differ to Charlotte Tilbury's Airbrush Bronzer? Firstly I'd say this is a smaller compact case than the Airbrush Bronzer making it so much easier to take on travels with you which is a total bonus for Summer. The main difference between the Beautiful Skin bronzer and Airbrush Bronzer is that this is Charlotte Tilbury's first ever cream bronzer. Charlotte Tilbury's Airbrush Bronzer is great if you're looking for a traditional bronzer but the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Bronzer is like nothing I've ever used before as it's a smoothing a cream bronzer. I only ever use powder bronzers and this definitely feels like a powder until you blend it. The product just gently smooths into the skin leaving a wash of sunshine and a gorgeous sun-kissed glow.
The Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Bronzer is designed to give you a Summer glow but beautiful skin at the same time, it's enriched with skincare {like many Tilbury products which is something I love so much about the brand - as they're so beautiful you expect them to be laden with fragrance and nasties but it's quite the opposite with Tilbury products, skincare is at the heart of many of them which is probably why they never make me break out!}. The Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Bronzer is soft to touch and blends in incredibly well, it really does just smooth onto the skin. It feels like a powder initially but then it turns into a soft, cream bronzer and feels very smoothing on the skin. You can see on the swatches of Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin above {in shade medium} - initially the product starts quite dark on the skin and then with one gentle blend it looks beautifully sun-kissed. I blended this with my fingers.
The aim of the Beautiful Skin bronzer is to give you a healthy, beachy bronzed glow which is exactly what I want. I want my bronzer to look natural. I have shade 2, medium in the Beautiful Skin Bronzer and it doesn't look dark or dirty on my skin and sometimes bronzers can look dirty when too much is applied. It comes in 4 different shades but Charlotte recommends applying a small amount first and then building it up. As it's a smoothing cream, it really does glide onto the skin and you can use it on your body too, perfect for the neck and chest! What I really like about the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Bronzer is that there is no shimmer to it, it is a lovely, matte bronzer meaning it looks super natural and non-shiny or oily.
Shade medium in the Beautiful Skin bronzer is incredibly natural - I believe this is probably because it's part of the Beautiful Skin range. I found the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation incredibly natural, barely there and perfect for that no-make up- flawless look for Summer, whilst this naturally mimics the natural tan you'd get from the sun without being too over the top / shiny / sparkly. As this product includes skincare within, your skin is meant to get better with every wear. As with all Charlotte Tilbury products, there has been a clinical trial too:

I never thought the day would come where I would ever swap out my usual powder bronzer but actually, this is so divine to use on the skin and I feel as if I am giving my skin hydration and goodness as I bronze myself up. I love the colour and the way this looks on top of my foundation.

The bronzer costs £42 which may seem expensive for a bronzer but Charlotte Tilbury is a high end brand, the compact case will last a long while as it is huge and it has added skincare benefits within so you're getting more than just a bronzer. This might just be my new favourite for Summer.
