Skincare - I personally love gifting skincare for Christmas but I can understand it can be slightly difficult as everyone has their own routine! Luckily I've condensed some great products here so hopefully something will suit that someone you have in mind. Starting off with Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream is amazing & you can even engrave it which makes it that little extra bit more special! Moving on to Night Cream then I have to mention the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate. The most luxurious face oil, honestly you will not regret gifting this! For those in your life who prefer au natural products then I have to give a shout out to Farmacy - a recent discovery for me. Their Green Clean Cleansing Balm is one of the best out there and is made from 100% natural products. I also love their Honeymoon Glow Serum. Speaking of cleansing balms, I can't not mention Eve Lom. Their cleansing balm feels so luxurious and honestly smells like a spa. I love it! speaking of gorgeous face products, I am in love with Fresh. The Fresh Soy Cleanser is an absolute must have. Speaking of Fresh, they have the MOST divine body scrub and it makes the most perfect gift under the tree. Another recently discovered and new favourite of mine - Dr Dennis Gross. I would 100% recommend picking up their daily peel sheets. So incredibly good for the skin!
If there's someone you're thinking of who has particularly sensitive skin then I can't recommend Skinceuticals enough. In particular, they have a sensitive skin bundle which encompasses everything one could possibly need!
In terms of skincare gadgets then I have to do a mention to Foreo. They offer the best electronic cleansers and they really do make such a difference to cleaning your skin! I feel this is one of those things that maybe people won't think of but when they receive it, it'll literally change their face washing game. I have the Luna 4 Mini and it's perfect.
It's not all about the face! Your body needs some luxury too! I always recommend the Kiehls Creme de Corps Lotion. It make such a gorgeous gift.
Lastly to round it off how about a little bit of extra luxury in the form of some Jo Malone Lime Basil and Mandarin Bath Oil - just heavenly.
Makeup - I tend to steer clear from gifting people makeup items like foundation, just because it's such a personal thing. But that doesn't mean there aren't other options that we can look at! Starting off with the cult classic of Nars Orgasm Blush. There's a reason why it's a cult classic! I don't know anyone who doesn't love it. Another fail safe is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk duo. This is such a universal colour, it's so so gorgeous. I also really love their Filmstar Bronze and Glow - two beautiful shades!
I saw on SpaceNK Laura Mercier are doing a special Eye Caviar Stick Trio and I love these products so they would be a lovely gift for someone too. Lastly I've been recently loving using fake eyelashes and particularly these Ardell Naked Lashes. They do a selection so you could grab a few different ones!
Hair - Obviously we're jumping right in with the Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector. I'm kind of hoping someone gifts me this for Christmas! Another great one to add, whether as a stocking filler or just a regular gift is some dry shampoo. Is it just me or am I always finding myself putting off buying dry shampoo? So for a Christmas gift this would be great for me! I find the best one to be the Living Proof PHD Dry Shampoo. There are some stunning hair gift sets this year, my top picks would be the Aveda Botanical Strength repair {it comes with a gorgeous hair tie too} - the Philip Kingsley hair sets {I love their masks}. Speaking of Living Proof doing the best premium dry shampoo, I am obsessed with the Living Proof hair gift sets too. A little bit of luxury... The Gisou Hair Oil is where it's at. It smells so luxurious, I always get so many compliments when I have this in my hair! And if we're talking about nice smelling hair I of course have got to mention Moroccan Oil. I absolutely love their hair mask, it hydrates my hail so much and it smells incredible.
Perfume & Candles - Candles! Where do we even start? I could list so many here but I'm going to do my absolute favourites otherwise the list will be ridiculously long. The iconic Diptyque Candle in Baies of course! You could even do something extra special and get the candle with the carousel on top - here.
Another classic is of course Jo Malone - I love Peony & Blush Suede, Pomegranate Noir & English Pear and Freesia. I'm also convinced the Jo Malone Pine & Eucalyptus range is their best ever for Christmas. I know I mentioned it above but I have to do another special mention to the Space Nk Shimmering Spice candle that they release during this time every year. It really is the most stunning Christmas scent!
I can't talk about gorgeous candles without mentioning The White Company. Winter is of course the most classic Christmasy scent and I get one for my Mum every single year. You could also grab one of their Winter home sprays also.
And I just have to mention Molton Brown. This year they've released candles for the first time and of course they're absolutely delightful! I've always been a fan of the classic Black Pepper scent, but also really love the Orange and Bergamot if you're looking for something a little bit lighter.
In terms of perfume I have a few favourites... After trying the Versace Pour Femme Dylan Turquoise I'm recommending it to everyone. Love the bottle too! In case you're not sure what your someone would want I always say go for the classics... Chanel No.5 and also Chanel Mademoiselle are pretty fail safe. Another great option is Fenty. It's super versatile and blends with every individual's skin so it smells different on everyone plus it's unisex so you could share. Every year, for years my Mum would gift me Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, it just signifies Christmas to me and is really close to my heart. Matt & I have matching Moncler fragrances, that's always a cute idea.
Gift Sets - If you're really unsure of what to get then there's always a gift set! I find they come in at such great value too. They always include a multitude of options, whether it be hand cream or facial oil, there's always something in there that will please someone.
Clinique have 50% off their best selling skin gift set right now!
Elizabeth Arden have this great set of a selection of their best Eight Hour products. They've also got this great retinol night set. If you use the code EM30 on spends over £75 you can receive a free gift with £55!
Origins have a got a full set up for healthy skin which would be an ideal gift for someone just starting out with skincare as it includes everything you could ever need!
If someone is looking for that luxury spa smell and experience then look no further than picking up this Elemis Cleansing Balm Trio. Heaven!
Like most people, my skin always gets so dry during Winter and I spotted that Fresh are offering this Cleanse and Hydrate Skincare Set. Perfect for these blistering Winter months!
Lastly I think the Molton Brown gift sets are some of the best ones you can get. I've already mentioned the stocking filler set above, but I also really love this Christmas Cracker set!
LUXURY GIFTS FOR HER
I'm sure if you're planning on buying someone something with the term 'luxury' attached, you probably already have a good idea of what they want.
But! Just in case you may be unsure I've got some options here that I'm certain every single person would be happy to receive.
Accessories - Starting off with something I put on every single Christmas Gift Guide I do every year and that is the Burberry Check Scarf. It shows that it stands the test of time seeing as I reference it every year!
I found the Burberry Check Scarf on sale here. Another great staple to have is a designer belt. You can get all sorts but I'm obviously the biggest fan of the iconic Gucci Belt, however I do also love the belts that Saint Laurent have brought out - like this one. If you're looking for something with a bit less of a logo then I recommend this Gucci Horsebit one. A bit more subtle but still really chic. If it's bags you're looking for then I would always say go timeless. Over the last year I would say that the Saint Laurent Le 5 a 7 Hobo bag has solidified itself as a classic, I know I would be over the moon if I was given this for Christmas!
Clothing - I always say a coat is a great investment. I am all for forever pieces in the wardrobe as gifts such as special dressing gowns and coats. Obviously there's the Burberry Trench which is just never going to go out of style. But I've also seen this All Saints coat a lot this year and I absolutely love it! It's definitely a higher price point for All Saints but I always stand by their quality and so for me, the price reflects that. If you want to buy someone a special Christmas Day outfit then look no further than this Self Portrait Dress. It's so stunning and classy - perfect for Christmas! Lastly Anine Bing sweaters have been THE sweater of the year, so if you know one of your girlfriends or sister has been eyeing one up why not treat them this Christmas? I like this one. Lastly you really can't go wrong with gorgeous soft pyjamas for Christmas and my absolute favourites are from Chelsea Peers.
Jewellery - I said it last year and I'll say it again this year, but Cartier would be a phenomenal gift to someone... ahem Matt ahem. BUT, we have a mortgage to pay. For more affordable jewellery then I love Monica Vinader. This diamond pendant necklace is so dainty and I really love these gold hoops for everyday wear - or even to dress up! If you shop via my Monica Vinader link here you automatically get discount at check out. If your special someone wears silver then Tiffany is always the best place to look. There's something so classic about the Return to Tiffany Bracelet and I've just spotted that you can also have them personalised! How sweet!
USEFUL GIFTS FOR HER
Shop my useful gift guide here
I'd hope that every gift you buy is useful but here are some *really* useful gifts that I know people would LOVE. The Kitchen gadget of the moment... An Airfryer because who doesn't want to be making delicious dishes? I make the most amazing avocado toastie in mine. I have this Ninja one so can vouch that it is incredible.
Another incredibly popular kitchen item - the Always Pan - this pan is a game changer, it's an 8-in-1 and it's a best seller for a reason. It comes in beautiful colourways. They've always released the Always Pot so if someone already has the pan, you can always get them the pot to add to their collection.
I think gifting someone high quality linens is a really lovely idea. After all we spend around 26 years of our life in bed so we may aswell make sure it's as comfortable as can be! The Slip silk pillowcases make your nights sleep feel so luxurious and also are apparently very good for your hair. A win win!
Of course I can't talk about gorgeous linens without mentioning The White Company. This 800tc Kingham bed linen is the height of luxury!
If you're really struggling about getting someone one specific thing then why not get them lots of little things! If I have time, I love to put together a little hamper. I found this really good wicker one here. You can personalise it with there initials too! I would include some gorgeous bits from Fortnum and Mason - like their Breakfast Tea and their Pistachio and Clotted Cream biscuits. If you know someone who likes a bit of spice, Fortnums have got these Lucifer biscuits and let me tell you they are INCREDIBLE.
You could also add in some alcoholic drinks as it's always quite nice to stock up the bar isn't it? I've just tried Chase gins flavour Rhubarb and Bramley Apple and it's so sweet and delicious. For someone who doesn't really love the taste of alcohol, a flavoured gin is always my go to. I also love an Espresso Martini and Tails Cocktails do the most amazing premade one! No faff or hassle, it's just ready to be poured.
Small Businesses - I really really love Etsy and always try and find a few items every year.
I came across this super sweet personalised cheeseboard, that even includes all the relevant knives! This personalised chopping board is also really great and would work a treat on Christmas Day.
I've also found these absolutely brilliant custom pet portraits - I know these are super popular at the moment and would LOVE one of Maple. They're so funny and such a unique piece!
As always I have to mention my favourite nail salon of all time - Ragdoll Nails in Leeds. If you're anywhere near Yorkshire and want to treat someone in your life, then pick up a voucher so they can have a lovely pamper! I always get my nails done there when I'm home. The girls are so so lovely, it's truly such a joy visiting.
FITNESS GIFTS FOR HER
Shop my fitness gift guide here
Clothing: We all know that Gymshark are my ultimate favourites and so I'm obviously going to send you to pick up a pair of Vital Seamless Leggings and Vital Seamless Sports Bra to go with! Honestly if this is all I got for Christmas I would be happy! Nothing makes me happier than good gym wear.
Sweaty Betty also have some great items and if you're planning on going skiing anytime soon then I would definitely pick up some of their thermals. I love these ones!
Accessories: If you have a Yogi family member or friend then why not treat them to a Lululemon Yoga mat. Out of all the yoga mats I've tried these ones are still the best! Or you could also get them some Yoga blocks too. If someone is recently new to fitness then maybe get them a FitBit! That way they can keep motivated and see how well they're doing. It's such a useful gift too.
Vitamins: It seems like everyone is very much jumping on the Vitamin train and who can complain!? They're good for you and I'm all about promoting health. If you're doing a fitness related gift for someone, it'd be great to throw in some vitamins too.
Solgar are really great. I've tried out their Skin, Hair & Nails vitamins and definitely noticed my nails were a lot less brittle. A win for someone who can't live without her gel nails! I also really love VidaGlow and especially their Marine Collagen satchets. And I can't mention vitamins without mentioning the queen of them all JSHEALTH. I recently listened to a podcast all about them and it was so inspiring and has made me look at my health in a whole new way. They have such an amazing range so you can pick up pretty much everything, but I've just ordered for myself the Detox and Debloat vitamins.
EXPERIENCES FOR HER
Some people much prefer to gift experiences or even receive experiences on Christmas rather than actually something physical. I am definitely this person. I know that in some cases these can be a lot more special and thought out so I have brainstormed some ideas and hopefully one of these could inspire you to book that something special for that special someone.
Staycations: Now, I love the Cotswolds. Like I really really love the Cotswolds. So of course I'm going to recommend you book a staycation there. But there are also some really beautiful other places in the U.K. that you could go too. My favourite Cotswolds hotels? Dormy House / The Fish / Foxhill Manor. They are incredibly special.
The Lake District is stunning, particularly Cumbria - so beautiful! Lake Windermere is also absolutely beautiful, you can get gorgeous cabins on the lake for example.
Tawny House - the most sensational hotel up North, I've never seen anything like it.
If it's more of a city break then Cambridge or Oxford are definitely the go to's. Both such lovely cities, with the most gorgeous architecture. In Cambridge you could even go punting on the river!
Although I've never been Norfolk, it's apparently absolutely wonderful. Burnham Market is a lovely little town to stay in (Johnny Depp used to have a house there!) and the seaside towns of Blakeney, Holt and Brancaster are meant to be wonderfully quaint. The Hoste at Burnham Market is meant to be so nice.
Of course, you could splash out and go to Paris or New York but it depends on your budget.
Fitness Focused: Another idea I had, which would depend on your gym but you could always gift someone a guest pass or membership. I go to David Lloyd and they do couples membership which I think is great. The best gift I ever got was PT sessions! It was so useful. If you gift someone a guest pass, that way you could spend the day, maybe do a class together or use the gym floor and then you could go grab brunch afterwards! Health is wealth people. Although after a hard gym sesh you definitely deserve a Mimosa... or two.
Days out: For just a simple day out there's so many activities you could do. I personally love an Everyman Cinema, so if it's a great month for movies then definitely try and check them out. They're honestly the best cinemas. With reclining seats, waiter service and really really good food it makes that cinema experience so much more fun!
If you special someone loves food then a days cookery course could be so so lovely. Leiths are one of the best cookery schools there is and you can filter which cuisine you'd like to learn. So your special someone could easily become a dab hand at Sri Lankan food for example! Or French! Obviously I am from Yorkshire so I need to big up the World Famous Betty's tearooms. You can book a cookery class or just take someone for afternoon tea there. I'm a clotted cream then jam sort of girl.
In the same realm why don't you do a day wine tasting? Chapel Down Winery in Kent specialise in English wines and sparkling wines. If they're not a wine lover, then you could always do a gin making class. There's so many to offer nowadays but walking away with your own gin has to be a highlight!
There we go! I've tried to do a good job this year of condensing everything you could ever possibly need to purchase for all your ladies into a nice list.
Of course I'm always available to help so message me over on instagram - @emshelx and if you need a bit of extra help sourcing gifts then I'm your girl!
Wishing you the most festive filled December and a wonderful Christmas Day once it rolls around!
Lots of love, Em x
