Hello hello, I hope you're all doing well. We finally have some great weather in England yay, I can't even tell you how long I've been waiting for this.
I wanted to do a post on my summer skincare favourites. As we transition from Winter to Summer, I don't know about you but I always change up my skincare routine.
During the Summer my skin is a lot less dry and actually becomes a bit more oily due to the heat so I find it's in my best interest to switch out my old products for some newbies.
I've put together all of the top Summer skincare products, here are the things I think are the best skincare items for Summer - less intense moisturisers, LOTS of SPF recommendations and easy going, gentle cleansers.

CLEANSERS
In the Summer I stick to really gentle cleansers, but I alway like to make sure that they have an element of removing pollution. Living in London during the Summer and therefore spending more time outside means I'm a lot more susceptible to that than during the Winter months.
I go for gentle cleansers mostly because I tend not to wear as much makeup as I do in the Winter. Therefore, I don't need anything to intensive and can settle for a balm or a gentle foam that works at taking away the little bit of makeup I may have on, without adding any harshness to my skin.
Drunk Elephant Beste No.9 Jelly Cleanser
Drunk Elephant is officially one of the most popular skincare brands we are seeing today. It seems every single one of their products goes viral. I particularly love their No.9 Jelly Cleanser. With a really gentle PH (5.5) it's great for all types of skin. It uses coconut based surfactants to lather up and can remove all types of makeup, pollution and all other build ups from the skin.

Medik8 Surface Radiance Cleanser
Medik8 is such an incredible brand, every time I use their products I can really feel a difference. This is their Surface Radiance Cleanser and it's a great one to try for the coming Summer months. The formula is ultra-gentle but exfoliates and revives your skin to give a luminous glow! For when we're skipping our normal makeup this is a great one to have in your skincare collection. I also love with this cleanser that after I use it my skin never feels tight. Sometimes, I use cleansers and my skin automatically almost seizes up and I feel I have to put on moisturiser straight after, but with this I genuinely feel I could go all day and not feel the need to add any extra moisture. It's perfect!

Farmacy Whipped Greens Cleanser
I've spoken about my love for Farmacy before. If you're looking for super clean and gentle skincare then they are the brand for you. I recently tried the Whipped Greens Cleanser and it's actually unreal. Without oil or soap this would be great if you have natural oily skin or skin that reacts harshly to chemicals. It's a balm but lathers into a luxurious foam and makes my face feel so clean! You only need the smallest amount and so one bottle lasts for such a long time. If you've tried their Green Clean Balm it's basically that but dare I even say it... Better?
Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm
It wouldn't be a skincare post if I didn't mention the best cleansing balm of all time... The Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. I think maybe every single person must be using this balm by now and if you're not then I'm telling you now is the time to start!
It really is the most luxurious feeling, gentle and effective balm there is out there.
Every time I use this I feel like I've had the best facial of my life. It's suitable for all skin types and leaves skin feeling smooth, clean and refreshed like never before. I can't say enough good things about it so I'll stop there but all I need to tell you is you HAVE to try this product.

TONERS
For me, facial toners are almost an extra way to clean the skin. I particularly like to use them before I workout {or after!}. It means I don't have to do a full skincare routine, to then just get sweaty and have to do it all again, but I also can workout with a relatively clean face.
In Summer I find them particularly useful when I've been outside all day and my face is feeling quite sweaty. I like to just grab some reusable cotton pads and swipe them across my face - it removes all the dirt and buildup I've had throughout the day and resets my face so it's a bit less sweaty!
Thayers Witch Hazel Toner
I love the Thayer's Witch Hazel Toner. It's such an amazing price point (£14.99 for a big 335ml bottle!) and, for me, does the best job of removing all the dirt I've built up on my face through the day. They come in lots of different scents - mine being the Rose Petal, but you can also do Cucumber or even Unscented if you're worried about skin irritation. It's one of the best selling toners in the US for a reason!

Aesop B & Tea Balancing Toner
I didn't know that Aesop had bought out toners until recently. I tried this one and it's so good! For me it was really great at balancing my complexion. It removed all redness and made my skin look so smooth and poreless. When you're going for those no makeup days this is a great staple to introduce if you're wanting to achieve that perfect, healthy skin look.
They've also got another two which I haven't yet tried - The In Two Minds Toner and also Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Toner.

Fresh Rose Hydration Toner
It's no secret I adore Fresh, their Soy Cleanser is my go to. I wish I could have endless supplies - side note, another absolutely gorgeous, daily cleanser and lovely and light for Summer. I find myself reaching for this toner so often, throughout the whole year, not just Summer! It's so moisturising so if I need any extra moisture during the day this is a great way to add that into my routine. I find the rose to be really soothing which is great in the Summer months when your skin is more susceptible to sun and redness. It also leaves my face so silky smooth! I find combined with my moisturiser that I'm using at the time, it makes my skin look so flawless.

EYE CREAMS
Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Eye Cream
This has been my go to the last few months and I've noticed a significant difference with my dark circles! I use this every morning and my eyes instantly look brighter, dark circles as good as gone! It comes with an applicator which makes the product so easy to use - it glides on perfectly and sinks into the skin so quickly.

Ren Radiance Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream
Another holy grail eye cream product for me is this Ren Dark Circle Eye Cream. I truly believe this works at removing those dark bags under my eyes and making me look a lot more refreshed! Don't be fooled by the tiny bottle. A little goes a long way and this lasts me around 4 months!
I love Ren products. They're incredibly clean with all natural ingredients and for me I always feel they smell like a spa! This has to be one of my favourites that they've ever produced.

L'Oreal Paris 2.5% Hylauronic Acid and Caffeine Infused Eye Serum
Last year in the Summer when it was blisteringly hot I had such a hard time sleeping, meaning I would wake up every single morning with puffy 'I haven't slept' eyes.
I've been using this over the last few weeks every morning and it does such a great job of de-puffing my eyes, making it seem like I've had a greats night sleep! A top tip, you can pop this in the fridge and the applicator is SO cooling, this is such a gorgeous summer skin product. Hylauronic Acid is there to help with all the extra moisture we need around our eyes as the skin is so delicate and the caffeine is the perfect boost to wake our eyes up! I also love the cooling applicator of this - another great way to depuff. I think L'Oreal Paris hyaluronic caffeine infused eye serum is my new favourite.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream
I've always switched up my eye creams at night and for years I've been using the Estée Lauder Night Repair Eye Cream. It's almost like a balm for under your eyes, really thick and creamy and instantly soothing. I always look refreshed when I wake up after putting this on the evening before - regardless of how much sleep I've had!
It is expensive, but it really does a last time and does the best job of helping with those dark circles.

MOISTURISER
In Summer, I like to use less intense moisturisers, but still ones that are going to give my skin a little bit of a hydration boost. During Winter, my skin gets so so dry so the moisturisers I tend to use are way more heavy than when I switch to my Summer ones.
I also count night cream as moisturiser - I always use cream specifically designed for night time use rather than just sticking with my day moisturiser. I can get away with it being slightly more intense and heavy duty overnight because I won't be outside and at risk of getting a sweaty face.
Tatcha - The Dewy Skin Cream
At this point I would go as far to say this has become an absolute cult classic. I've seen it all over TikTok and everyone raves about it. I decided to test it out for myself and I can absolutely understand why everyone is so obsessed. It sinks into the skin so quickly, doesn't feel sticky at all but it my skin is glowing every time I use this! It's so dewy - definitely giving the glazed donut look. For Summer, this is absolutely a must have. When you don't want to be wearing makeup, but you want your skin to look as perfect as possible, this is the product you need.

REN Global Protection Day Cream & Evercalm Night Balm
Ren, again but I do really love their Global Protection range for Summer. Designed specifically to reduce environmental skin stressors and protect from pollutants, it's perfect for those who find themselves spending more time outside during the warmer months. Particularly living in a city where we know pollution is much higher. Their day cream does a great job of soothing the skin and keeping it protected while the Evercalm Night Balm is a gorgeously scented balm that calms the skin from the suns exposure during the day. It has consistent 5 star reviews and allows you to wake up looking refreshed, with calm smooth skin.

Sunday Riley CEO Afterglow Brightening Vitamin C Cream
We've all heard of the Sunday Riley CEO Cream, however I personally think this is a better option for summer. Focused more on brightening the skin, rather than deep intense hydration this is a lovely alternative to the richer cream Sunday Riley produce.
This cream is lusciously lightweight and targets dull tired looking skin to give it a little extra oomph! The vitamin C also works incredibly well at targeting sun damage which, what could be better during Summer?

Eve Lom Time Intensive Night Cream
Eve Lom is super luxurious and with that comes a price tag but I really really love their products and I do believe they're absolutely worth it. The sun unfortunately ages us, as we know, so I think it can be good to incorporate an anti ageing moisturiser into my routine during the Summer months to help keep those wrinkles at bay! Eve Lom's Time Intensive Night Cream does an amazing job at giving your skin a mini facial overnight, specifically targeting age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. There's no better time to keep on top of your anti ageing than in the Summer when your face feels it the most!

Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate and Glow Mask
I'm pretty certain I've talked about this before but I'm doing it again because it's just so good! I use this night cream year round. I find it deeply hydrating in Winter and lovely and cooling during the Summer and every morning I wake up with the most perfect complexion. This really is a facial in a glass! It uses all natural ingredients so you won't find any nasties in there, smells like sweets (literally!) and lasts such a long time - less is more. I don't have enough good things to say about this so just go grab one. I'm telling you, you won't regret it!
Clinique Moisture Surge SPF 25
If you don't love putting loads of products on your face then this is a great option for you as it has SPF built in! So you don't have to worry about applying extra over your normal skincare routine. I love the Clinique Moisture Surge range, I find it really cooling but also manages to give me that glow that I want to see everyday. To hear they've released it with SPF in now also is a game changer!
SPF
The all important must need for Summer (well, year round actually but especially Summer!) - SPF.
We should all know by now that SPF is probably the most important step in our skincare routine. I use it year round but during Summer I increase my usage, putting it on daily and using a higher factor (50, for me). You mustn't skip this step. It's protecting your skin from sun damage, which trust me you absolutely do not want. There are so many incredible SPF products out there that at this point you're spoilt for choice and have no excuse not be using it daily, even multiple times daily!
La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF 50 Sunscreen
I love La Roche Posay products, they're no fuss and always work a dream. This is an incredible SPF. Factor 50, which is super important during Summer - you want as much protection as you can possibly have! This bottle lasts a lifetime too. The product is non oily or sticky and sinks into the skin as you would expect your moisturiser to do so. It's an incredible price point and in general a really easy, no fuss SPF that's going to do the job to the highest standard. I also apply this to the tops of my shoulders too!
Ultra Violette Supreme Facial Sunscreen SPF 50
If you're looking for something a bit less bulky and which is specially designed for your face then the Ultra Violette Sunscreen is great. It's Space NK's best seller for sunscreen and that's where I first discovered the brand. With SPF 50 so you're as highly protected as possible and a hydrating cream that sinks into the skin quickly leaving no sticky residue this is a must have in your skin care routine. It's also Aussie made so you know it's going to be the creme de la creme when it comes to suncare.
L'Oreal Revitalift SPF 50 Vitamin C Moisturiser
If you're looking for an SPF that doubles up as a moisturiser then look no further than the L'Oreal Revitalift SPF. Infused with Vitamin C which we already know is great at combatting sun damage, this is a great product for when you want an easy, no fuss skincare routine.
You don't need to use moisturiser as this does the job of both protecting your skin and making you feel hydrated! Skincare infused SPF? Sign me up and the price of this is great too.

Supergoop! Glow Screen SPF 30
I love Supergoop's SPF's because they come tinted! If you want your skin to have a little bit of a base, without having to add any foundation or concealer then this is a perfect option. With SPF 30 to keep you protected throughout the day, it gives a great look to the skin without looking cakey at all. I put it on after my moisturiser and after around 5 minutes it's all sunk in and my skin looks glowy and healthy - while being protected from those harmful sun rays.
Coola Pina Colada SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray
My last sunscreen recommendation I have for you... The Coola SPF 30 Spray. I love the idea of this because it's important to make sure that you're reapplying your sunscreen during the day. However once you've been out in the sun you don't want to have to get your hands all sticky reapplying so this takes away that step and instead you just spray it on your face and you're good to go! This also smells absolutely incredible, it transports me to a tropical island where I wish I was spending my time. With SPF 30 it's a great way to top up your protection from those rays throughout the day and provides a little cooling calmness to your skin while it's at it.
