e.l.f. Cosmetic Halo Glow Liquid Filter

Ad affiliate throughout - Hello everyone, this year it seems like there is a growing trend towards achieving a natural glow and home skincare that offers professional results and most importantly does not break the bank.  I'm here for it and one brand I've become a fan of, namely,  elf cosmetics ticks all these boxes.  I've recently reviewed the e.l.f. Bronzing Drops and let's just say, I am using these a lot.  Today I want to tell you all about another gem of theirs which promises a radiant, dewy complexion without breaking the bank : e.l.f. Liquid Filter or e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Liquid Filter which is its full name.

So in this blog post I'm going to talk to you about what makes Elf Cosmetics Halo Glow Liquid Filter such a popular and must have product and answer all questions you may have about this trending make up item.

What is e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Liquid Filter?

It's a versatile complexion booster which is designed to enhance your skin's natural radiance.  It works as a primer, a highlighter, and even a lightweight foundation - something I really love about it because I'm over heavy make up.

What texture does the Halo Glow Liquid Filter have?

It's infused with hydrating ingredients and finely milled pigments and it creates what I would describe as a soft focus effect and it truly blurs imperfections and gives my skin a real smooth and luminous look.

What are the benefits of using e.l.f. Liquid Filter?

Multi purpose use:  I love things that can double up as other things if you know what I mean.  They provide better value for money for a start.  The liquid filter can do just that as it can be used solely as a primer and it can also be either mixed with foundation or worn alone for a natural glow.

Hydrating formula:

Once upon a time I would have looked for dry products but that is a thing of the past - I love a make up product that is dewy and doesn't make my skin feel dry.  e.l.f. Liquid Filter contains squalene and hyaluronic acid for moisture which is wonderful.

Lightweight and breathable:

Again, in the past I would have looked for heavy make up products that caked my face, but not anymore.  The feature I most like about the  Halo Glow Liquid Filter is that is provides a sheer, light coverage that feels absolutely weightless on the skin.

Affordable:

All e.l.f. products are high quality, low price, Amen!

How do you use the Halo Glow Liquid Filter?

It's versatile and can be used numerous ways:

1.  As a primer:  apply thin layer all over your face before foundation and it will give you a lovely radiant base.

2.  Mix it with your foundation: I combine it with a few drops of my favourite foundation for a dewy finish (I have done this with the e.l.f. Bronzing Drops and it's lovely.

3. As a highlighter: I use mine a lot for this purpose.  Dab onto the high points of your face (cheekbones, bridge of the nose, Cupid's bow) and watch how it gives a lovely subtle glow.

4.  Worn alone:  I'm very in to light coverage at the moment and I sometimes apply this to my skin along for a natural, no makeup glow which gives me a little bit of skin smoothness but no heaviness.

What skin types is e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid suitable for?

It's suitable for all skin types including dry, oily and combination skin.  It's hydrating ingredients make it especially helpful if your skin is dry or like mine a combination.  It's non comedogenic so doesn't clog pores at all which is a huge plus for me.  One thing I would say is that people with oily skin may benefit by using a powder to mattify.

Does Halo Glow Liquid Filter contain SPF?

No, the Halo Glow Liquid Filter doe not contain SPF so be sure to use a separate sunscreen underneath for sun protection.

How long does it last?

I find that using it as a primer or mixed with foundation really helps extend the wear time of your makeup.  On its own it last for several hours although I do touch it up if I'm out for the evening.  This will of course depend on your own skin type and activity you are doing at the time of wearing.

What shades is the e.lf. Cosmetics Halo Filter available in?

There are 12 shades which range from very light to very warm with a huge range in between.  There really is a shade for everyone in this range and depending how you are using it you may need more than one.

Is Halo Filter vegan and cruelty free?

I'm pleased to report (otherwise I wouldn't be reviewing it) that e.l.f. Cosmetics is known for its commitment to being both vegan and cruelty free and this product is no exception.

How much is e.l.f. Liquid Filter?

It retails at around £15 for 31.5ml and it lasts for ages.

Where can I buy Halo Glow Liquid Filter?

You can buy this from the e.l.f. Cosmetics official website and from numerous other retailers including BootsASOSBeauty Bay and Amazon.

I think that's everything I can tell you about this affordable beauty product.  To summarise, its versatile, lightweight and provides a lovely flawless glow that rivals high end products.  Whether you're a beauty novice or a seasoned pro I think you will like Halo Glow Liquid Filter because it will let your natural beauty shine through.

Lots of love, Em
