It's always a good day when there's a new launch from Elizabeth Arden and I LOVE the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream and range so it was VERY exciting to hear about a brand new product in the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour cream collection, the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Hydraplay Skin Perfection Moisturiser is here, I've already finished one tube and it's time for my review.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour HydraPlay Skin Perfecting Daily Moisturiser is a lightweight, daily moisturiser designed to hydrate, smooth, and perfect your skin. It’s formulated with powerful hydrating ingredients that ensure your skin stays moisturised all day long, without feeling heavy or greasy. For me, it's been perfect for those days when I need a quick skincare routine but still want to make sure my skin looks glowing and healthy.  My skin is combination and there are days when it is so thirsty and this light weight, easy to use moisturiser hydrates it every time. 

What Does HydraPlay Do?

• Hydrates & Protects: HydraPlay is packed with hydration boosting ingredients that quench dry skin and protect it from environmental damage.
• Skin Perfecting: It also has skin-smoothing ingredients that blur imperfections. I adore radiant flawless skin and I can achieve that look easily with this cream. 
• Daily Use: It's so gentle and lightweight as it's purposely designed to be gentle enough for everyday use, making it an essential in any skincare routine.  I'll be going nowhere without this moisturiser now I've found it. 

How Do I Use Elizabeth Arden HydraPlay?

I use it as part of my morning routine and it can be used at both ends of the day.  Personally, I love using it in the morning because it creates the perfect base for my makeup.  I apply a small amount to clean skin, massaging it in upward motions. It's so lightweight, it absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling smooth and ready for the day.

What skin type is Elizabeth Arden HydraPlay suitable for?

I'm pleased to report that HydraPlay is suitable for all skin types! Whether you have oily, dry, or combination skin, this moisturiser is light enough not to clog pores but still provides enough hydration for even the driest of skin types. If you’re someone like me who has combination skin, you’ll love how it balances oiliness while keeping your skin hydrated.  Thankfully there is no stickiness either, something which I really don't like in a moisturiser.

 Is HydraPlay good for sensitive skin?

Yes, it's gentle enough for sensitive skin, but as always, it's a good idea to patch-test any new product.

How much does Elizabeth Arden HydraPlay cost?

HydraPlay typically retails for around £35 for 45ml.  I've seen it on offer for much less though, so do shop around for offers.

Is HydraPlay Eight Hour Moisturiser worth the price?

That's a resounding yes from me.  I think it's a reasonable price to play for the quality and effectiveness of this product and a little goes a long way. 

Can I use HydraPlay under makeup?

Absolutely, I do all the time! HydraPlay creates a smooth base for makeup, and since it’s lightweight, it won’t interfere with your foundation or other products.

Does HydraPlay have SPF?

This moisturiser doesn’t contain SPF, so if you’re using it in the morning, be sure to follow up with a good sunscreen. The Elizabeth Arden Sun Defense for Face SPF 50 pairs beautifully with this moisturiser.
